{"id":3019,"date":"2026-08-24T10:00:42","date_gmt":"2026-08-24T10:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mhc-tn.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3019"},"modified":"2026-08-28T15:38:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T15:38:18","slug":"mental-health-cooperative-names-ceo","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/mhc-tn.com\/fr\/news\/mental-health-cooperative-names-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"Mental Health Cooperative names CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Mental healthcare services provider sees return of former COO Andrea Westerfield<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nashvillepost.com\/users\/profile\/wwilliams\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">William Williams<\/a>  \u23b8  Aug 25, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nashville-based addiction and behavioral healthcare services provider Mental Health Cooperative has named Andrea Westerfield as chief executive officer, effective Sept. 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 43%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Westerfield replaces CEO Michelle Shafer, who assumed the role in January 2024 when Pam Womack retired from the position after a 31-year tenure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mental Health Cooperative (MHC) Chief Medical Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer Corey Cronrath had served as interim CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a release, Westerfield is returning to MHC, as she began her career at the company as a care manager. She later assumed various senior leadership roles, ultimately serving as chief operating officer, during an 18-year span.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Westerfield left MHC in May to serve as executive director of the Belmont Collaborative for Health Systems Innovation at the Thomas F.
