The partnership will allow the nonprofit to refer people experiencing food insecurity to the unique food pantry run by the country music star and his wife, Kim Paisley.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Mental Health Cooperative (MHC) has teamed up with Brad Paisley’s The Store in Nashville to help more people in need access free food and essentials.

“At Mental Health Cooperative, we are committed to treating the whole person,” MHC CEO Michelle Schafer says. “Achieving mental well-being is impossible when you’re worried about where your next meal will be coming from. Partnering with The Store will help us restore our consumers’ peace of mind, reset their well-being and revive their spirits, by restoring their bodies.”

At The Store, residents will be able to find the following free of charge:

  • pantry staples
  • meat
  • dairy
  • fresh produce
  • household items
  • hygiene items

The Store offers those items for free, but it allows customers to get the experience of shopping by setting itself up, as the name suggests, like a store.

It’s just one way the pantry aims to help maintain dignity for families facing hardship.

At The Store, we believe that access to nutritious food is foundational to both physical and mental well-being,” says Collen Mayer, CEO of The Store. “Our partnership with the Mental Health Cooperative reflects a shared understanding that when someone is seeking support for their mental health, they shouldn’t have to worry about how they’ll feed themselves or their family. Together, we’re providing more than food — we’re offering hope, dignity, and a path forward for our neighbors navigating some of life’s toughest challenges.”
